Skategame development: faking 3D ~ If you’re working in a 2D game engine or graphics program, then you’ll often have to use tricks to make objects look 3D. This GIF is the forearm of my robot character, and shows how having a set of pre-rendered images and rotating them in the right way can do a reasonable job of making it look three dimensional. I’m building the whole character using variations of this method.
If anyone is interested, a while ago I wrote all about different methods of faking 3D in games on my site. It has pretty looking interactive examples blah blah, so there you go.

For now, this here tumbeller is for things I make that aren't big or aren't done or aren't new.
Mainly I'll be posting drawings and works in progress and bits of audio and animation and 3D and whatnot and so-forth. There will be considerably more whatnot and so-forth than anything from the other categories, so don't forget your wooly jumper and hat.
